Cookie Jar Comp
Our annual Cookie Jar Comp is back for the 13th time! Please join us for a citizen's rope climbing competition and silent auction on Sunday, November 15th 4:00-9:00pm benefiting Colorado Outward Bound School (COBS). With Recreational (5.7 to 5.10), Intermediate (5.10+ to 5.11+), Advanced (5.11+ to 5.12+), Open (5.12+ to 5.14),Youth (for competitors under 16) and Masters (for competitors over age 50), this competition is open to climbers of all ages and ability levels - just bring your passion for climbing and for providing transformative outdoor life experiences for people of all ages and backgrounds!
Colorado Outward Bound School (COBS) is a Leadville-based non-profit that sparks lifelong growth through challenge outside. On high mountain passes and red rock canyons across Colorado and Utah, they help youth build courage, compassion, and a love for the outdoors.
This year, the Willow Fire in Leadville burned nearly half of the COBS basecamp property, including their high ropes course, campsites, and trails - all facilities that are used to provide outdoor experiences for youth who lack access to outdoor recreation and learning. Your participation in the cookie jar competition will help ensure COBS can continue working with schools across Colorado and Utah to get kids connecting with nature.
